Partly, I'm not sure exactly what you said.

You yawned when I talked about protecting people (usually but not always women) from domestic violence.

IMO, protecting individuals from harm is one of the legitimate functions of a limited government. Being beaten daily is not conducive to pursuing liberty. Nor is a marriage license a right to abuse.

Domestic violence is a complex subject I know far more about than I wish I had to know. But when you deal in family law, it comes with the territory.

I used to be blase about it. Figured it was much ado about very little, and if women didn't like it they should just leave. So back when, before I got into the law, I didn't take it very seriously.

That was before I had to deal with victims of DV directly. I've learned.

I guarantee you that if you spent six months in family court your attitude would change dramatically.

Anarchy --- "A theory that regards the absence of all direct or coercive government as a political ideal and that proposes the cooperative and voluntary association of individuals and groups as the principle mode of organized society."

Hi Jim, I just thought I'd throw that in since you used the word 'anarchist' in the sense of a person who promotes chaos & disorder.

Both definitions are correct according to the dictionary.
Isn't that interesting? I wonder how that came about.
