one of the very best defenses against spam is to delete without opening.

deleting after opening does nothing as far as altering the incoming.

once the message is opened, the spammers know they have a warm body, and the games begin in earnest.

so the key is to delete without opening.

if a few legitimate emails get axed because you didn't open them thinking they were spam, so be it. war is hell. and like a missed phone call, they can call back (or resend the email) if it's that important.

DON'T OPEN SPAM!!
