i don't know ELD. i assume PDQ = PDG?

as for ABX, that's a hedge fund with a few holes in the ground on the side. and its only position in its hedge fund business is the biggest gold short position in the world. i wouldn't touch them with a ten foot pole, even though they have excellent properties.

NEM is o.k., has too much debt for my taste though, and too much copper exposure. that goes for PDG as well, but both stocks tend to run with the gold price, as institutions are likely to flock to them on grounds of market cap and liquidity in the shares.
