hi R you are definitely welcome. i'm glad it worked okay for you. remember to also do this (turn off all background apps except explorer and systray) when installing new software. the installation instructions always say to do it, but i think many of us must just skip right past that part! <g3> the only exception to turning apps off as noted above (that comes to mind) would be if you are running norton's cleansweep, or a similar product, that you want to allow to monitor the installation. in this case, there are about three apps to leave up and running. :) mark
