"Bear markets can have vicious rallies too you know. Witness Wednesday for example. As hard as it is to believe, they can even go on for months (like in the spring)." As hard as it is to believe, they can come and go in a day. There will be mutual fund redemptions. Foreigners will sell -- this is not a market driven down by the shorts. It is a market driven down because too many people own too much stock and the valuations are not justifiable in a slow economy.
