Dear Charles: Besides the FED now beginning to work FOR us, its pretty clear there is going to be SOME KIND of general tax cut. That would likely have even more immediate positive effect then lowering rates and I have heard there is talk of making it retroactive to the beginning of 2001. So there are good things out there. Employment report held up and in fact hourly wages were up a nickel I believe. What we have here IMHO is a shaking of confidence not a shaking in funadmental strength. Once we get our courage back things very well could improve significantly. JDN
