The thing that amazes me is, what brain surgeon decided that they could regulate retail rates without regulating wholesale rates? And then they wonder why the utility companies who are caught in the middle are in danger of bankruptcy. I hope every legislator who voted for this flim-flam of a "deregulation" gets thrown out of office.

I recently received a notice of a hearing on whether PG&E should be allowed to sell its hydroelectric plants. Comments are due by February 5th, and I think my comment is going to be "hell no", not until they get this problem figured out.

I think they should forget about deregulation, as the parties involved have proven that they cannot be trusted without adult supervision.
