You missed my point but that's ok. It's not useful to compare volume figures from all of last year if you ask me. You have to take recent action.

This is still a classic low volume pullback today to shake a few weak holders out. I saw more people running for the hills today. Long yesterday or in the morning today, and then cashing out as fast they could by the end of today. Many are getting whipsawed and going short, capitulating and throwing in the towel on the long side.

You gotta take the other side of that trade. Seems like I'm the only one doing it so that is kind of comforting...

I just went and looked it up. Nasdaq volume was 1.744 billion last year, not the 1.6 billion figure you cited.
