This is kinda funny to me, so I'm gonna take two minutes and share it with you.

For about the last six months there has been a semi local(about two hours from here) commercial for a daytrading firm.

They show all the normal screens, and direct access to all ECNs, etc.... than they show a shot of the room where people are trading like "professionals" Yet when I see it, they are all sitting in fromt of their screens in their respective cubicals. Most all are sitting erect and writing on note pads. Very mellow scene, like that seems like a pretty enjoyable live.

Now, I admit to never being in one of them so I don't know if that is a typical scene. If so, I don't think I'd do very well there. I didn't notice anyone smoking(I might be able to live with that), but noone had their feet up on the table, I didn't notice anyone jumping up and screaming Rat Fark, and I didn't notice anyone flicking bottle caps at a globe either.

SO what does a typical trading room look like?
