I think you all have some serious work to do if lawyers are about to take over your democracy.

I don't have any particular interest in who is becoming the US president, although I think most people here in Europe would prefer Gore over Bush. I think Gore's ideas about society are more in line with the European model than Bushes. But that's not important, it's your society, so you have to decide.

Most people here found it rather amusing that the country who is always telling the world how they have to do everything couldn't hold a normal modern election. We all followed the life soap about punching ballots and pregnant chads, etc.

We here have usualy five or more parties in the elections and a proportional system, so it's more important to have exact numbers. Your winner takes it all principle has made election officials lousy and careless. Hope they learned there lesson.
