Dave, S.A.I.L is huge and it's all over the web. I found hundreds of links. Granted I haven't read anything mentioning Layton's name associated with the project, the fact remains the organization is quite well known and the concept has been in existence since the early 90's. Hardly a "zero". Here is a brief example...sail-labs.com There are also branchs of S.A.I.L Port in Asia Pacific...techsingapore.com.sg I also found links to www.sail.com which gave reference to speech development, but the site is evidently not up at this time. Perhaps Ms. Layton could shed some light on the reasons for this... A Quick search on Google turns up lots of reading...google.com I would think however that since LHSP had a large role in S.A.I.L port, especially in Western Europe, that some of the chapters have now fallen to the way side...or been suspended indefinitly. Perhaps this is the beginning of the fallout from the collapse of this paper gorilla that was L&H? ... and perhaps some more of the Lernout Associates will gravitate to GMGC as I had hoped.<gg> I do appreciate your cursory digging however, and it is exciting to have this new dimension now to keep things interesting. There is more to the company than the stock price it would seem; and of course this company should still be considered as a most speculative investment, still in the early to intermediate stages of growth. But I see this latest development as a positive for now. Dr. Markman and the B.O.D continue to strive to move this company forward and I think that's good. I don't underestimate the fact that GMGC is STILL standing while LHSP has just crumbled... FWIW I think in regards to credibility issues, General Magic maintains a far better stature than some of it's peers to say the least. I think this is good also, and one day will count for alot towards future valuations... This is the toughest time for equities in ten years, so I'm sure GMGC will continue to struggle with the rest of the market going forward...conversely I would like to think it will outperform the COMPX on the up moves as it has been wont to do in the past as well<gg> Personally I still believe there's money to be made here both short and long term. Simple as that. Thanks for the digging, you've inspired me towards some great new finds, and they've served to re-inforce my belief in the viability of the technology, and consequently the company. I'll hope to share more in the future. Regards, John M.
