I hope that more kids decide to shock their parents by emulating Goldwater - and soon!

I am still bemused by a little event this week - I found a website I really admired, on an obscure political theory, by a graduate student, and sent her an email telling her how much I admired it. We sent several emails back and forth and she asked me if I would contribute to a project she was working on - in response to something she said I mentioned that I was a Republican, used to be a Libertarian - and she never wrote back!

It's getting weirder and weirder in academia these days - at least some of the schools, don't know if it's most or not. It's ok to be a conservative at the local college, George Mason, in theory, but so far I have yet to personally interact with a conservative female academician - nor with a female academician who feels anything but contempt for conservatives. Not too many male academicians who tolerate conservatives, either.

I don't know what the percentage of people with advanced degrees who vote Republican is, but it's much smaller than the percentage with just a Baccalaureate.

Well, if conservatives are so shocking and appalling, I hope their kids all vote Republican just to tick off their parent!

Hillary was a "Goldwater Girl" back before her brain was removed.
