Kevin,
Your observations are right on the Mark. I know that this
kind of market is great for making money as is any market.
I think LG's performance this week bears that out. As for
myself, lately I've had more effort required from me by
my business and I have not enjoyed the luxury of watching as much intraday action as I would like. Also, I think the best way to make money for a while has been on the short side.
Sell the rallies, cover on a new low (gg). Problem is, the
lower we go, psychologically I have been having trouble feeling
any level of comfort shorting at low levels. Longs can only be held short term. Basicly, I just haven't had the energy
to deal with such a wacky, volatile, whip-sawing price action
environment lately. I guess I'm taking a breather here as
I feel we should be near an IT low, but I want the proof now
first. A break of the downtrend line would do it for me.
Until then, I'll be watching from the wings until I can muster the energy to combat again. It's a jungle out there!
ggg
Best Regards,
Eichler

Was pretty funny that CNBC was doing "New Investor Week" all week. What a week for "new investors" to "learn" about the market. At one point today someone was saying "Please understand - it's not always like this!"
