Hi GST! Did you notice Abby Cohen on Wall Street Week? I can't help thinking that it is suspicious, the Fed cutting rates in a hurry and then they wheel out Abby to reassure everyone? Do the big guys see something that we don't? Is it just an economy in recession, a very weak market and an energy crisis that worries them, or is there something else? Is a mutual fund having trouble covering the huge outflows? Can the California utility bankruptcy be contained? Hedge fund troubles? I wonder what has the big guys worried.

I think the Bears, me included are painting ourselves into a corner. It is obvious to me the market is trying to make a short term bottom here. The problems That we are all predicting will take time to demoralize the system. We will still get are rally to 3000 before we drop below the Mendoza line. The only exception is if market volume pickup on the downside MON-TEUS and breach old LOW. My gut says those calling the low volume re-test are correct. A one day free fall and bounce to finally wash out the speculation is not impossible either. For now Put's are too dangerous IMHO. This fallout could take YEARS to rectify!
