I agree with A.L...this company earns a miniscule amount of money compared to its market cap (esp net earnings from operations...omitting the larger interest income), and it just the place where shorts look to sit once other fleeting dot.coms are brought to near-zero (e.g. Priceline). Everyone agrees the internet is here to stay, but the turnover in companies, and the life-and-death cycle, will be nothing like we've seen. Perhaps you forget the "personal computer craze" of 1983-1986, which was similar to the internet stock frenzy. Hardware box makers were IPOing left and right. Compaq is about all that remains....

Brian,
I have talked to Starband and I am not sure they would meet my needs. I actively trade, using a program similar to RealTick III. I would need perhaps 10 to 20 charts open at the same time plus audio.
The Starband literature specifically prohibits "bandwidth hogs" (their term). That is streaming audio and data. I am still researching and would appreciate any insight you could provide. I am also looking at T-Speed which is a similar satellite service.
Thanks,
Jim
