just some general thoughts...

you keep talking about "raking" it in and making the "big bucks". day trading is not at all about that. its about making money every day. the type of raking i keep getting impressions of that you mention is prolly not even a practice allowable under most traders money mgmt rules. most big buck trades are just small trades that went more in favor than originally expected. nobody trades for the "grand slam", or shouldn't...

there are rooms and threads that do teach. this does allow the recepient to no longer need the teacher/guru over time. as a for instance, i would again point to the 56 thread. and yes, there is a link on the thread to a free chat room.from what i understand theresa at ispec teaches. calls are made as reaction to what a chart is telling you, whether that timeframe is daily or intraday. once you understand the concepts based behind the calls, entry and exit can be derived by oneself as well, so as not to become a "dependent".

i don't think you have a clue as to how much time is actually spent studying the markets by most technical traders, which in most cases are where the guru's tools exist. setting up scans can cut down some of the work, but its obvious you don't have the drive to look at 300-400 charts on a given nite if the scans don't provide immediate candidates. one will be here day in and day out to make a day's pay. unlike a cnbc ad that sez "wake up make money", i know of no people that operate that way. this profession is not one job , but two, one during the day and the second shift at nite preparing for the next day. i'm not filthy rich. if i didn't have any living expenses i might be, lol. there are times to trade and times not to trade. most traders i work with will not be taking months off to spend on an island, although some may have that as their goal. i will say that in the two years i've done this as my sole income i have made money above and beyond my living expenses. if i measure the past two years in comparison to any two years i worked for someone else, i'm better off trading thus far.
