Yes, there is a candle one built in but I think he wants formation recognition too. I finally had the time to go look for that plug in and found it was cheaper than I recalled. It is a John Murphy pattern recognition add on and is now only $299. Here is the link.......

Michael & all,
I have a question regarding the system tester and how to set up the close long & close short portion of the test. This is a hypothetical. I have an entry signal formula and set the buy price or sell price under options to the open of the following day. The position get's closed in one of two ways of which one I can't figure out. One way would be a cross of something like a moving average opposite to the position taken. This is no problem. The other way to close the position would be a target price based on the CLOSE of the SIGNAL DAY (not the open the following day which is the entry price) plus 10% or any Volatility based formula times the close of the signal day etc.. Can this be done or does Metastock keep recalculating this exit price because the close changes each day. Any help is appreciated!
