Hi Gary - Was that a "pay no attention to the man behind the curtain" post?

My view is best described as "coldly analytical without emotional attachment to the company".

How would you classify yours?

I do not speculate about earnings warnings or feed negative rumors. I do not make bold unsubstantiated negative claims.

Just cold facts. Go into the books. Take out the effect of option exercise from CSCO's cash flow from operations.

From the 10K FY2000
YoY change 1999-2000 incl Option Benefit: 1.8 B$
YoY change 1999-2000 excl Option Benefit: 0.16 B$

From the 10Q 1Q2001
YoY change 1Q00-1Q01 incl Option Benefit: 0.23 B$
YoY change 1Q00-1Q01 excl Option Benefit: (0.36) B$

All other things being equal, CSCO would not be growing cash flows from operations - despite top line growth - if it weren't for increasing stock option benefit.

This is a fact.

I would enjoy facts that indicate otherwise.

John.
