I think the biggest risk to the markets right now is loss of confidence in the Fed.

There's no reason to lose confidence in the FED at this point. The FED can simply cut rates very aggressively to prevent any hard landing scenerio from happening. The more he cuts interest rates, the less likely people would put their money in their banks just to earn interests. Do you think people would want to buy extra foods for 10-year reserve, or specious metals stored in the basement of their home for nothing but depreciation ? Highly unlikely. They do want to invest in stock markets and make their retirement life more meaningful. Don't let those people who have bought Euro to scare you away from the market. They will come back and buy US stocks.
