Good point. Basically, this is very similar to the investment trusts of the 20's. Leverage is a double edged sword, as long as the share prices are going up it rises exponentially, but when they go down, look out below.

I find '29 more similar to today than the Nikkei. The Nikkei bubble would have had got to 67K to duplicate the Naz bubble, so that skews comparisons. Even '29 doesn't compare to this bubble, but it is the closest I have studied.
