I forget which optical startup they bought, I think it was monterey for a hefty sum, which had about $10M in annual revenues. The following year under CSCO tutelage, that division ramped up to about a billion and is looking at $3B this year. I know shorts and traders want instant gratification, but sometimes technological advances don't happen overnight.knc
