This week's Barrons says that the December number would surely be revised....echoing what you were saying.

I agree. Exmployment is a lagging indicator. I suspect we could go to 4.5% (I haven't done any research on this number, but it's just a SWAG) before we are done.

That may not be alarming, but there are going to be a lot of people out of work, and credit risk remains high since much of America is overextended on personal credit.
