If you're an expert in trading and willing to coach others, I won't grudge you if you
charge a fee for your services.

Well...thats pretty much what it comes down to. If I was an expert in trading why would I need to charge people for my calls?

And not every successful trader's goal is to sip margarita on a lonely island. Maybe your dream, but not for us. We're not motivated that way. Money is
not an issue

If money is <n>not an issue, why are there so many of these gurus flogging their great rooms and expertise for one low monthly fee? Why not give it away for free, considering anyone qualified to be selling calls must already be making far, far more in the market then would ever be available form calls?

It's the adrenalin rush of being able to trade with the best of them every day. Yeah, this is our island in the sun!

But, surely these gurus who commit to being in a room "helping" subscribers would be more interested in a room with their equals, "the best of them", then any sap willing to plunk down the subscription charge?

I'm not "concerned" with what OJ or the rest of them do, just interested in what seems to be a pretty popular business idea and what the sheeps who pay for it are thinking. It reminds me of those late night infomercials that used to be on all the time, "You too can make money buying real estate with no money down"(if you buy my course for only $x)...but why was that guy selling books instead of buying real estate???

Haven't reached any conclusions on this yet...but there have been some interesting discussions on the thread (now #1 on SI hotlist)
