I can think of lots of nations with seemingly NO guilt. China for one. They ought to feel very guilty- for what they've done to their own citizens as well as for what they've done to the citizens of other countries.

Guilt is a luxury, though, I think. Where one scrabbles for existence, what is the point of guilt when it may kill you? Did you ever read The Mountain People and The Forest People by Colin Turnbull?
