John.......

RG wasn't alone. He certainly had others who
embellished and manipulated for their own motives. Those
others had enough access to info they
shouldn't have had access to to manipulate that info
again for their own ego's and goals.

Though it was RG lose lips that almost sank this ship.

Regarding the CD missed window of opportunity....
there's a lengthy record of history to qualify
what I meant about that statement. Not really
much point in recounting that history again though.

Anyway, for all the valid and invalid criticism
noting that this OTC stock was
essentially an DPO (direct public offering) vs an IPO
is part of the historical lesson.

If Tigi had been an IPO underwrit by ML or another
big house, and had one of those moon shot
offering of two years ago, generating enough cash
to have on hand to burn through...rather than
have to do stop gap financing....would everyone
be making the same allegations.

Take a look at MarketWatch and one of its
parent company's Data Broadcasting

MarketWatch's (MKTW) high on it's
IPO'd day was approx. $128 (or was it high $143?).
Its offering price was upped to $21
Its current price is $4.25 (low has been about $3.125)

DBCC peaked at about $45 before the IPO and
is now about $4. With DBCC you should have seen
all the 144 filings on the run up.

The whole sector was hyped. Hyped especially
by underwriters of the paper making looney
price projections. MKTW is one of hundreds
(thousands?) of companies that will never make
money for any one other than the Venture Capitalists
and Corp Executives who sold out at high prices, to
average joe and josephine retail investors pursuing
the same American dream of greed.

Mary Meeker IMO is a bigger crook then RG and
Bernie and others could ever aspire to being...

Again, though I'm not apologizing for any one.
I'm just attempting to put this particular tigi
tulip bulb in with many other bulbs that IMO
were more egregiously oversold and manipulated
though considered more "legitimate".

John,

"Bob, I agree, but let's start seeing bills being paid with cash instead of shares. Too bad the IRS doesn't have its own portfolio."

It is happening now. The plan is to be debt free in the 1Q. Maybe the IRS also, but it is on a schedule satisfactory to both parties. There may be a need for some interim funding but nowhere near the amount mentioned before.
