Zev - 73 was the Yom Kippur War and the middle east oil producers increased the price of oil tot he point that the entire Western World had massive inflation.

Although the middle eastern oil producers are still at it the situation hasn't yet got to 1973 levels so I'm not sure there is a true comparison.

This incipient recesssion is entirely the work of Mr Greenspan and his irrational obsession with the Naz. My guess is that someone has finally made him see sense or that he has been over-ruled by someone.

Zeev i think the point is dont try to be a Hero. The market is not leaving anywhere soon even if a bottom is in. Capital preservation is Key now, catching bottoms is for fools.
