Precisely why I abandoned the idea (well put, by the way!). I'm all for higher risk/reward ratio...as long as it is money we don't need to pay our bills and save for retirement...

Knyyt,

Let me just throw this out for consideration. This is all from input BeckyA shared with us some time ago. Your 3 MA method intrigues me enough that I decided to "fix" it. Being a tinkerer, I couldn't help myself.

Here's your BEAS chart but with a 20EMA instead of a 50. It looks to accomplish the goal (trade with the longer trend) but gets you in an hour or so earlier and a couple of points better.

Notice, too, on that second Fri, you could pretty comfortably get short most any time that morning, rather than waiting for the next day and getting in after missing at least 5-6 points.

I think I'll watch this for a while. It might be the added piece of discipline my trading needs.
