I will look it up. I can't tell you the number of times I've argued about abortion on SI. I always knew, even when I was a young teen, that I couldn't have an abortion. Not because I am religious, or selfless, but because I am SELFISH. Any child of mine, I always felt, would be too special to be aborted. I even am sorry I could not see what each egg I carry might become. It strikes me as very selfless to have an abortion. Children are, after all, our mirrors, our vanity made manifest, our hope for eternity. It is a very selfish act to have a child.

I am sorry for your grief. I cannot understand it perfectly because I was never in your shoes. But I grieve for the children I do not get to have. I wanted 6 children but Mr. X found 3 was quite enough. That makes me sad sometimes. My children are all so very different. I would be curious to see what others would have been like. Plus I really love children.
