Richnorth asks, are "Lessons not learned" an OFF TOPIC???

Will it help predict, as in monitor, the gold price?

Can the article helps in understanding how the gold price was determined?

Should we take the position that if indeed lessons are not learned,
that what we do is folly since mistakes and correct actions will not
be carried in the future, but lost in the past as "not learned" so that
decisions are made based on agenda rather than correctness that
could be defined as for the common good or simply survival for all
rather than the agenda of the decision makers for their own continuation?

If so, then might "Lessons not learned" identify a flaw in humans thinking,
or represent a fault that humans do which unlike a flaw can be dealt with?

Ignoring that battle between Good v Evil approach I do,
if the constant unchanging always to exist conclusion
is that humans will always result in a "Lessons not learned",
then it must be a constant and a always present flaw in the
human brain functions.

One could point out a contridiction here, in that one's ability
to be conscious of one's own flaw requires a conscience act
that should correct the situation in the present and with memory
into the future so that "Lessons not learned" is removed as a flaw.

Does it matter if the flaw is physical or mental?

Physical means learning is determined not by thoughts
but how the brain is connected as in paths taken from
those stimulus we receive through our senses so that
results as in conclusions are predetermined as hard wired.

The other possibility has as one possible course of action
being that one has the ability to undo and prevent oneself
from arriving at the same place of "Lessons not learned"
through a reading of Ayn Rand.

There might be a catch here in that only folks with their brain
hard wired in a manner to understand certain concepts have
the ability to do hard wire switching like a train track that has
that movable piece that allows a train to not take the same
route as last time if one determines a reason for a change.

Not sure but I think Ayn Rand was Jewish from Russia.

Lastly, to make this post on topic I include that url
from the Riches up North that can help us understand
when we are 4sure in.

Good Gawd that was a depressing read, Richnorth. Say, where are you ... Things are warming up over on the Bresea thread...they could use a good dose of realism over there<grin>

Your article concludes:
"What is far worse than any of these things, considered in isolation, is that few Americans see these corruptions as undermining the principles and institutions on which our freedoms depend.

The painful lessons of the 20th century remain unlearned.

Well, by God above and Quivering Sinners below...I'm one of those Americans who saw those corruptions as undermining...problem is being permitted, quite literally to mine anything in the first place.

CLINTON has just given 4 million acres of Oregon Forest Land back to the Indians as it were...if there ain't a road on it now, we ain't s'posta build one ever again.

Howcum we ain't talking about the Clinton Land Grab for our enemies on this thread...It ain't just logging going down the crapper...if the mining industry can't team up with logging to get Bush to undo the damage in the next 60 days, we're going to be stuck hiking into the forests of this great nation with tin cups instead of bulldozers looking for tin.

ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGH!
