Seriously, a child murdering his own parents is not a "gun" issue, it is something much deeper than that.

I think there is a great emotional difference between pulling a trigger and hacking someone up with an axe. And for another thing- the number of murders a child has witnessed with a gun on TV and in the movies over the years must number in the thousands- the numbers of murders on TV committed with an axe...many many less. If you do not see how much easier it is to kill efficiently and cleanly with a gun, than you do not understand the history or war and weaponry. Removal from the victim allows the killer to psychologically distance himself from the act. Reflect on that, and on our culture that celebrates firearms.

You can speculate all you want about what the kid "would do" but you don't know. The fact is, he used a gun, as most kids do.
