Lim,

Some wireless killer app candidates:

1) Sending photos and video clips. Sending photos is commonplace over the wired web, especially for those with DSL/Cable who can send/receive a high-res 600K photo quick. But most really neat photos do not occur next to your PC. Mom's at the swimming meet in St. Louis, dad's sitting at a bar in San Diego. Snap the photo or clip, send it either realtime or damn close to it.

2) Same concept, for porn. In fact, just include porn in every example.

3) I access E-Mail via PCS all the time, but can't access URL's. A little better screen, or maybe via PDA, and the wireless device becomes much more valuable to me. Speed becomes key here, just like at home.

4) Music. How about a runner who listens to a favorite out-of-town radio station over the Net. Clip the wireless device on their belt, and they now can listen to it on the road.

5) Same as above for vehicles. I want to listen to KSHE-95 when I'm in Miami too. I realize T is working on that big deal with DeLorean, but it looks to me like CDMA is cutting the big telematics deals.

I'll think of some more tomorrow.

"the basic ability to be able to access the web on the move without plugs or wires is the biggest killer app of them all."

Couldn't agree more.

Throughout the world today, twice a day, we see traffic jams with literally millions of our most productive people wasting precious hours getting to and from the cities. 101 in Marin; M25 around London, and N2 in Cape Town--- you name it.
