Get on you Motorcycle, and head East young man.

Uh, the young man in me headed west a long time ago. The old man I've become isn't about to abandon the soft living afforded us in San Diego.

It is you, that must convince the Hundred's of Thousands of people that use these services.

Not so difficult. Check out your local highway and byway. Compare the number of people talking on their fee based cell phones to those chatting on their fee free CBs. Given the choice, people opt for the phone.

YOU must persuade them, that they must now invest well over a thousand dollars the first year, and continued monthly service fees ...

Not me, pcstel. That's up to the geniuses at Verizon and G*. So pass me a wheaties box. I'll be in the front row with 1_flynn ready to let fly.

Actually, the secret to moving this product is to get it into peoples hands, the right people. Everyone has surrendered to the convenience of the cell phone. It is a much smaller, but still huge, subset of those people that regularly goes beyond cellular. Given some decent marketing, and appropriate price points, G* will dominate this market.

Incidently, pcstel, I haven't forgotten your question regarding 3G. I've noticed the same question popping up regularly on the QCOM board. Still ruminating, but agree it's a pretty fundamental and difficult riddle.
