Alan, Thanks for the look back. That is one thing I like about SI is that all those prior posts are available. I think putting things in perspective is needed to be a good investor. The media tends to not do a good job at that. And although the professionals usually look back for for comparisons, they tend to have a sort of herd mentality. This phenomenon seems to feed on itself, and can cause inexperienced investors to sell or buy at the wrong time. John
