This makes you grin? "Caught" is past tense. A "wave" is a temporary thing. "20 to 30 percent" is a far cry from the future expectations of the past 2 years from all of these "high tech" companies, would you not say?

It will be interesting to see if people will simply buy blindly because "you can't fight the fed", or if they will finally look at businesses' books and what has been "counted" as revenue and the slowdown and the trouble with the dollar, etc. and be worried to preserve some cash to live on rather than greedily searching for the quick riches.

One thing I know -- if the world's economies are in deep trouble (ie - the US stock market being larger than the entire US economy), then the final result will be bad no matter what spin you see play out over the next few days or weeks.
