Some more random thoughts....on the lack of a US energy policy...

At the risk of over simplifying a complex issue, why are we building more electrical power plants fueled by natural gas, when gas seems to be in short supply (without trying to increase the gas supply at the same time)?

I have seen some advertisements indicating that more than half of US electricity is generated by coal-powered plants.
I am assuming we have a good supply of coal in this country.

Assuming the pollution issues are are addressed/mitigated, perhaps we should be building more coal-powered generating plants ???
