Michael, LEAP puts are indeed a very conservative way to play options. You just need to be right eventually, from the current price.
The options on the volatile issues are quite pricey, however.

You might want to look at a couple of Earlies favorites such as EMC or IBM. They do not move that much in general and both are starting to drop after rather large "rate cut surprise" runups. EMC is only down 1/3 off its all time highs as compared to many of the other high fliers.

Hope that helps.

M

Michael,

There are some people on this thread that can point you to some Euro warrants and I know there is a Euro bond fund out there somewhere.

I have been buying TGG adding to this position for the last 6 months. It has a fair amount of European debt and I have been aggressively buying FAX, a CEF that holds mostly Australian debt. Some people on this thread may think this is a risky play but it did well last week. I have bought some SA gold stocks, a little silver in PAAS.

I recommend you post to Michael Burke on this thread and ask about assets going forward. Most people read his posts and will chime in with their ideas. Michael also has some good ideas. I think he likes the Swiss currency and I have noticed it is doing nicely.
