Re Stocker, or should call you "S.Moritz? , NT promised to deliver 10B+ in optics in 2000( in July), and it will be delivered. It was bunch of "Cramers" who were pushing numbers on its own and then stared to call NT missed. NT missed.

That's ridiculous!

It's those same "Cramers" you keep bitching about that helped drive stocks like JDSU and NT to their previous extreme valuations. Nobody was complaining then. And, to think that only hedge funds floated those high numbers is naive. Everybody, including small investors, queued off of the numbers Roth gave them. We were all in the same boat.

The difference now is that many hedge funds, the vast majority of which DON'T create rumors by the way, saw that the market had gotten ahead of itself and turned and sold their NT's and JDSU's. Many small investors did too. They didn't have their heads stuck in the sand. I said before, short-term, it doesn't matter if the worries are unfounded! You don't get that. Let me put it in a way you'll understand. When I get back into NT as a long-term investment, and I likely will soon, I'll be buying back more than TWICE as many shares as I had before, the SAME amount of money. You see, even as a long-term investor you can't ignore short-term events. With high priced stocks and high expectations you have to watch for shifts in sentiment.

Re They Q3 was within guidance.

NOT true. Roth overpromised and NT got whacked. Period.
