I'm enjoying the energy discussion. And when someone tells you the oil resource is limited to several decades at best, save your breath and find another ear. How's this for proving your point...suncore.org According to Petroleum Economist, "Although tar sands occur in more than 70 countries, the bulk is found in Canada in four regions: Athabasca, Wabasca, Cold Lake, Peace River; together covering an area of some 77,000 km2".(1) In fact, the reserve considered to be technically recoverable is estimated at 280-300 Gb (billions of barrels), larger than the Saudi Arabia oil reserves estimated at 240 Gb. The total reserves for Alberta, including oil not recoverable using current technology, are estimated at 1,700-2,500 Gb. Please note, "technically recoverable" does not necessarily mean profitably. KB, if you are here, perhaps one day the US Military will send its tanks to Alberta to push the Federal Liberal party out of Alberta. Jessie Ventura had a great observation in his book, Do I Stand Alone. He said have you ever noticed how many young adults start out very liberal in their thinking, pro government intervention and anti business.... He further observes that many become more conservative as they forge a path through the hard knocks of earning a living. I don't think we can credit the The Body for this one. People have been talking about this since long before Jessie was pile-driving the un-tanned, overweight john doe, who had to wait in the ring while the music played, the crowd cheered, and Jessie walked up to the ring. I always wondered who was going to win that match.... Regards Jay
