Robert ... Interesting graph that one ...

finance.yahoo.com^IXIC&d=5y

What I found especially interesting is that if you start at the Jul/Aug 1996 down spike, and track the subsequent ones, with the exception of June 99 (which was still a ripple in the uptrend) the significant dips/recoveries fall into almost an exact 9 month cycle. We are now at the end of the next 9 month cycle, and have just experienced one of the biggest dips.

I remember once reading a post on SI which included a paragraph about 9 month long-cycles ... I think it was by Sir Realist on the Angels thread... he predicted that the next one would happen in January.

If I find it ... I'll post it.

Have a great day all, and good hunting.

K

Could market get any worse? Yes it can. Remember Nasdaq was at 1500 when mania took off. I don't expect Nasdaq to drop that low but I'll say it has better chances to drop below 2000 then hitting 3000. No more to short? Nonsense. Check net equips and you'll see the dark black pit.
