True, but the auto industry is not growing earnings by 50% a year either, these companies are. My point being is that PE does matter, there are other companies growing earnings at a better rate with a lower PE.

I'm not knocking GLW, I believe it's a great long term investment especially with a forward pe in the 35 range, but lets see what the street thinks tomorrow.
