From GLW's website: 1.17 EPS earnings; beats by 1 penny and beats their own earlier forecast by 1-2 cents

I am pleasantly surprised to say I was wrong and that GLW beat earnings expectations after all. Their website now shows 1.17 and Zack's consensue was for $1.16.

Plus they exceeded their own internal forecast, or at least met the highest end of the range. Here is a quote from their Oct. 23 PR which mentioned earnings expectations for the full year:

As announced on October 11, the company expects full-year pro forma earnings per share in the range of
$1.15 to $1.17, an increase of approximately 70% versus last year’s $0.67.

Also, again, analysts were "only" expecting GLW to grow earnings from $1.16 to $1.41 eps in 2001 and the CEO is apparently giving
guidance of 20-30%. That would ssem to be bullish.
