i don't know that skeeter is following the plan correctly. shutting down all apps via ctrl+alt+delete (except for explorer and systray) should make defrag run fine.

using startup manager for win95 should also allow skeeter to manage everything and anything running.

enditall, as has been noted a number of times, permits a user to close all apps down fast, leaving just those that he or she desires. it's a hot little tool.

so i'm confused and curious to know what is keeping skeeter from having success with any or all of these solutions. if skeeter wants to go into it further, it may help to take it one step at a time and make certain that skeeter is carrying out these actions properly.
