Ian, Only in the bearish scenario will lower rates not work out. They study history and feel we are doomed to repeat it when that is not the lesson at all. They are doomed to repeat their history of missing the 1987 rallies after the reagan reforms set in plus all these up years in a row. What we have is a blip in growth that brought these bears out of the woodwork. But in fact nothing has changed. We are correcting what was a bubble in a bull market. When the dust clears we will still be in the same bull market for all the same fundamental reasons as before and the extent of this decline will be viewed as a reverse bubble or panic. Bears will be shut out of the next upmove because they will be waiting for the other shoe to fall when there is none.
