Absolutely, we should have fought to win... all the fighting in Vietnam was controlled by Lyndon Johnson himself back home at the White House, he called the shots and he called every move the military made... he tried to contain the fighting at every turn, but it was a losing strategy and a lesson we hopefully learned... wars should be managed by the Generals who have a genuine sense about military procedures... had Westmoreland been left alone to do his job, the fighting would have been ended much sooner.....IMHO GZ
