Bobo, can you tell us anything you have been right about on this thread?

- You said no way Korea could deploy 2M ADSL line in 2000. They did, in fact it may be closer to 3M.
- You said Aware only gets 50¢ per chipset sold, when in fact it is still nearly quaduarple that.
- You said that ADI is losing market share. While losing market share ADI shipped over 11 ADSL ports in 2000.
- You said that Cisco is leaving ADI, when in fact ADI remains Cisco's #1 ADSL chip vendor.

No doubt that South Korea is ADI's largest market, but that would be due to the fact that S. Korea has more ADSL deployed than any other country in the world.

You seem to forget to mention that ADI chips are being used in high volume in Canada, Italy, Hong Kong, China, United Kingdom, France, Germany and Brazil just to name a few.

Why don't you tell us something you have been right about.

Oh, bobo you have missed an important fact when you said:

"2) if Korea already has 2mm dsl lines deployed and there are only 9mm PC households in the country, how can the deployment activity growh."

****Because the number of fixed wired lines/person will increase as well. The base will increase. Numbers from the ITU will back up my fact. If you really want the link let me know?

Keith

P.S. Looking forward to China deployment
