Idea Integration Helps Compaq.com Become the No. 1 Holiday
Computer Shopping Site; Innovative Design and Easy Navigation Draw More Than 1.5 Million Visitors Weekly

Business Editors/Technology Writers

JACKSONVILLE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 8, 2001--Idea Integration, the e-business solutions unit of Modis Professional Services (NYSE:MPS), today announced that its recent project work helped Compaq.com achieve the No. 1 spot on PC Data Online's weekly ranking of Holiday Computer Shopping Sites.

Compaq.com is the Web site for Compaq Computer Corporation, the largest supplier of computing systems in the world. In PC Data Online's recent evaluation, Compaq.com attracted more than 1.5 million unique visitors -- beating out well-known brands including apple.com, gateway.com, ibm.com and dell.com. In fact, Compaq.com drew 100,000 more visitors than its closest competitor.

To enhance the quality and functionality of the site, Idea Integration provided Compaq.com with a number of important services, including creative design, application development, site building, digital photography, marketing strategy, and a dynamic banner tracking tool.

The Boston Globe praised the aesthetics and practicality of Compaq.com in its recent "Best of the Web" section. "At Compaq.com you'll find a site that's easy to shop thanks to a low-key design and easy navigation."

Seth Romanow, director of eMarketing and User Experience at Compaq, said, "We are pleased with the traffic we have been receiving on Compaq.com and acknowledgment of our positive customer experience, and Idea Integration has been an important contributor to our success," he said. "Thanks to Idea's technical capabilities and understanding of today's Internet customer, people who shopped for Compaq products online this holiday season did so with ease and avoided the hassle of fighting holiday crowds."

The Boston Globe article highlighted Compaq.com's page featuring the "snazzy" iPAQ Pocket PC, which is part of the iPAQ family of Internet devices and services offered by Compaq. A link to information about this line of products and solutions, as well as an iPAQ demo, can be accessed from www.compaq.com/iPAQ. Idea Integration was responsible for both the iPAQ Web site and demo.

"We have been pleased to deliver effective and profitable business solutions for a nationally known leader like Compaq, and we look forward to continuing this partnership," said Ed Morrissey, managing director of Idea's national creative practice. "Compaq.com's No. 1 ranking on PC Data Online's list of Holiday Shopping Web Sites is proof of our positive impact on e-commerce sites."
