Plenty of talented kickers out there with lesser names. Looks like management was keeping him for sentimental reasons at the high cost of the teams season. That isn't how football is played these days. But not to put the whole thing on Del Greco, even Eddie George was dropping passes in the numbers. And Steve McNair had many opportunities to pick up first downs by running himself on 3rd down when everyone was covered. . .but instead he tried to force low percentage passes. And when you get to the playoffs, you can't be making such mistakes like dropping passes, jumping offside and other mental errors. At the level of play that goes on in the playoffs, there is little margin for error. The opposing team will eat you for lunch. But to be fair, the Ravens defense was truly impressive. . .and in my opinion, the best team won. Since leaving Cleveland, that group of guys have had a tough time making anything happen. It is good to see them doing as well as they are. Looking a few weeks ahead. . . in my opinion, if you love offense, you'll be rooting for the high scoring Super Bowl game between the Raiders and the Vikings. . in what could be described as a shootout at the OK. Being a bull, I love offense. If you love defense, you'll be hoping the Giants take on the Ravens in a slug fest that would probably end the half tied at zero. The only Super Bowl I don't like are where the blowouts. . . like we've seen all too often in the past decade. Last year was exceptional, except for the final play. . .>g< Rande Is
