The acquisition is expected to be accretive to Broadcom's diluted earnings per share to the extent of approximately $.02 to $.03 per share per quarter throughout 2001 on a pro forma reporting basis.

..I think a lot of people were disappointed by this announcement.

I wonder if the desperate shorts are the disappointed group.
