PB,

Thank you, sir, for that dig.

>>May not happen again, as I am hearing their libraries tend to be kind of mediocre?<<

I haven't heard any of our resident chemists talk favorably about anyone's libraries, execept those of SIAL. Not that there's been that much discussion. But TRPS never mentioned, and PCOP's libraries dissed. Luckily for PCOP, they have popular protein-folding software. Many stocks have suffered post-split in the last 3 quarters. But few have raised -- rather than lowered -- earnings/revenue forecasts. Last one to do that, that I can recall, was CRL, which has held up fairly well since then, despite lock-up expiration.

That latter is another theme I pay attention to. I see that some companies that seemed to have weathered their lock-ups expirations are suddenly losing it. ITMN comes to mind.

One that is definitely suffering from lock-up expiration is GNSL. Trickle Threadsters should be aware that PKI can pick this one up cheap if it stays down here for too long (30 day MA thing, read the S-1 yourselves). The takeout price could be in the high fives or lower. Trickle could be hurt a bit if this comes to pass, as its cost is well above that. But this may be worth a look at these levels for those of us in the real world who haven't pulled the trigger on it.

Cheers, Tuck

PB,

Hey, stranger. Do you PCR? Nice overview of the state-of-the-art from the Scientist (free registration required):

the-scientist.com

Do you, or any lab workers paying attention to poor old Trickle, use any of these systems or take a liking to any of them based on the descriptions in the above link? I would imagine ABI Prisms are still widely used. Any reasoned input appreciated.

Cheers, Tuck
