California oil shortages are a BPAmoco scam and rip-off.
Bush and Cheney, old oil hands, will make sure these guys
go behind bars as indicated and that theses scams stop.

All IMHO,

.
.
"BP Amoco systematically jacked up West Coast oil prices by exporting Alaskan crude to Asia for less than it could have sold it to U.S. refiners, according to previously secret experts' reports and federal court records. "

Pat, CA energy shortages: My take:

Bush owes nothing to CA. They voted against him.
He will play hardball and will tell them :

" You get no help until :

-you reform your environmental laws and allow new
Energy factories to be build.

-Allow the consumer to pay the full price of energy
like everybody else.

-if you can't pay for it, sell your BMWs Porsche's
and big homes you've accumulated in the last
10 years of tech boom and pay for what you
need.
-pay the Utilities what it costs to produce the enrgy

However since I am such a nice guy, I may help you by
making sure that you don't get ripped off bt the likes of BPAmoco
(unlike the protection you got from Billy and Algor
so far
)"

This will be told them in simple plain English so
that even folks in Rio Linda will understand,

Pat, I believe OPEC is worried and rightly so;
oil down to $25/barrel from $35
.
.
.

====================================================

OPEC reaches consensus on reducing production

chron.com

A mild European winter and replenished crude inventories
prompted a more than 25 percent drop in international oil prices

over the past month .............

.....A day earlier, Rodriguez said OPEC was worried that replenished inventories
would coincide with a traditional drop in demand in the second quarter of the
year to produce a price crash.

=====================================================
.
.
.

-Explore ( safely, vbg ) Alaska .
-No more scams like BPAmoco
-Consider Nuclear Reactors ( they are doing wonders
for Europe and are safe )etc
-increased oil exploration

Pat,

JDSU seems to want to go up today for a welcome change. Up 0.90 at 2pm. Any particular reason that you can think of, besides some long-needed sanity returning to this stock's valuation?

Silicon Valley Scrambling for Protection Against Blackouts>

Time to move to Silicon Valley "North" that's the name of our hotbed in Ottawa "Silicon Valley North" where 72,000 high technology workers are situated, 1350 companies strong, doing 15 billion dollars worth of business. Venture capital in Ottawa three years ago was under 100 Million, in 1999 240 Million and last year 1.1 Billion (much of the VC $ from the US). So come on up we have lots of power... ;)

Regards,
Glenn

P.S. Pat I know that you are aware of our fair city having visited a number of times however some on the thread have not so I took the opportunity to strut our stuff...
